May 24 Free spring tour of the old town of CehegÃn
The picturesque old centre of Cehegín becomes even more welcoming in late May!
The town of Cehegín in north-west Murcia is renowned for its picturesque beauty and stunning landscape all year round but is especially attractive at certain times of year. At Christmas, for example, it is still a preferred destination for those seeking the homely charm of an “olde worlde” Yuletide, and another favourite time of year is when the golden sunlight of late spring illuminates the historic streets.
The sights, sounds and scents of spring are especially hard to miss in Cehegín, where the season brings the quiet streets and historic palatial houses, squares and hidden corners to life.
Held in Spanish in collaboration with Guiasmur and the Region of Murcia tourist board (ITREM), this guided tour in Spanish begins at 11.00 on Sunday 24th May in the Plaza del Alpargatero, and takes visitors on a walk around some of the most attractive and significant parts of the old town. Equally importantly, it ends in time to enjoy lunch in one of the many local establishments welcome to round off your time in Cehegín with a good meal!
Prior bookings are required online here through the regional tourist board website.
