Mix of rain and mild temperatures: Alicante weather forecast Jan 6-9
There’s a chance of showers all week in Alicante but the temperatures should start rising
Average temperatures forecast on Thursday
Following a fairly dreary Three Kings weekend in Alicante, the week has got off to a similar start in much of the province, but the weather promises to clear up as the days go by. It will remain rather cloudy but we should see plenty of sunny spells too and the best news is that daytime temperatures will start to climb again mid-week.
However, as a succession of Atlantic fronts sweeps across Spain, the chance of rain and showers remains.
Monday January 6
The weak will start with light and scattered rain but this should clear up by noon, leaving behind quite dark and cloudy skies for the remainder of the day. Monday night will be milder than the weekend but the day will be a bit chilly, thanks in part to a moderate southwesterly wind, which will feel more blustery along the coast.
Tuesday January 7
The skies will be much brighter on Tuesday and there will be plenty of sunshine along the coast, where the temperatures will remain at around 17ºC or 18ºC. The evening will be cool though, with a chance of frost inland.
Wednesday January 8
Wednesday will start off rather cloudy again and it will only become more overcast as the hours go by. There’s a good chance of light and scattered showers in the northern half of the province later in the day.
Day-time temperatures will continue to climb but a moderate westerly breeze could create a bit of a wind chill along the coast.
Thursday January 9
Thursday will be a little brighter, with early morning clouds clearing by lunch time. Night-time temperatures will start to inch up with few changes expected during the day.
A moderate wind from the west will create very strong gusts inland, but these will ease off in the afternoon.

- Monday January 6: Min 7ºC; Max 19ºC
- Tuesday January 7: Min 4ºC; Max 19ºC
- Wednesday January 8: Min 6ºC; Max 20ºC
- Thursday January 9: Min 10ºC; Max 22ºC
