More rain in Spain: Weekend weather forecast September 7-10
The forecast for this weekend and into next week is for showers to sweep across the country, though it will remain warm

Spain has been lucky to have a dry and sunny week after the devastating storms of last weekend, with only some scattered showers this Thursday September 7 in parts of Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha.

Of course, some rain and storms are forecast for the north of Spain on Friday September 8, specifically in Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria in the afternoon, while Málaga on the Costa del Sol is also forecast some brief thunderstorms in the morning.

The rain sets in again more heavily on Saturday 9 for the entire western half of mainland Spain and the western side of the Canary Islands, in La Palma.

For Sunday 10, this rain will be limited to the northwest again, but will extend over a much larger area, taking in parts of the Basque Country and Castilla y León as well, and it will be much heavier.

As we move into next week, these scattered showers will persist, especially in the north, centre and east of Spain, including the autonomous communities of Catalonia, Valencia and Murcia.
Despite the rain, temperatures will remain steady at the same level they have at the beginning of this week, with maximums of 25-30ºC during the day and minimums in the teens at night.
