Mostly sunny with pockets of rain: Andalusia weekend weather forecast May 17-19
It will be plenty cloudy in Andalucía this weekend, but temperatures remain high and are rising

We’re set for a pretty sunny weekend in every part of Andalucía, all told, with gentle winds and some partial cloud cover that could bring rain to certain high-altitude areas. It will also be nice and warm, with daytime temperatures around 22-27ºC.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), this Friday May 17 brings “cloudy skies on the Atlantic slope, without ruling out light and occasional rainfall in the Betic Mountains [Málaga] and Sierra Morena [Jaén], becoming partly cloudy during the afternoon”. For the rest, there will be clear skies with some slight cloud cover and temperatures are on their way up. Winds blow “from the west, moderate with strong intervals on the Mediterranean coast and light to moderate elsewhere”.

It’s a similar story on Saturday 18, with maximum temperatures during the day continuing to rise despite the cloudy conditions.

On Sunday May 19, Aemet predicts “intervals of medium and high clouds” and has “not ruled out showers in the afternoon in the eastern sierras” around Granada and Jaén.
It’s still early to say since weather forecasts can change so much, but going into next week it looks like things are set to start hotting up past the 30-degree mark around Wednesday or Thursday, with lots of sunshine and little chance of rain. Time to get the sun cream out!
