Mud rains accompanied by warm temperatures: Spain weather forecast Feb 15-18
An Atlantic front and a cloud of suspended dust will cross Spain from west to east before the weekend

Weather outlook on Thursday afternoon, February 15
Spain is in for a couple of days of unsettled weather as an Atlantic front sweeps the country, resulting in mostly overcast skies and rain that will gradually move from west to east. Certain parts of the south, including Andalucía, can expect plenty of stormy intervals and in many areas, a vast dust cloud will result in mud rain.
The instability will not last long though. For the weekend, State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) spokesperson Cayetano Torres expects "stable weather, with very cloudy skies in the western half and maximum temperatures rising and minimum temperatures falling".
Thursday February 15

The passage of an Atlantic front will lead to widespread cloud cover and intermittent showers in the west of Spain on Thursday, with a small chance that this could also spread to eastern regions.
The showers in western Andalucía may intensify later in the day, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms.
Daytime temperatures will begin to climb in eastern Spain and inland, falling in the rest of the country.
Friday February 16

Friday will be another mostly overcast day. Weak showers are likely to affect the northeastern third of the country, with more substantial and persistent rain in the eastern Cantabrian Sea and the Pyrenees.
Scattered morning showers are possible in other parts of the eastern regions of Spain and the mountains of Andalucía, as well as isolated showers in the Balearic Islands, the coasts of Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea. As the day progresses, cloud cover will increase, with cloudy intervals prevailing, and rainfall tapering off for the most part.
Temperatures will drop practically across the board, more notably in the north and inland.
Saturday February 17

The weather will pick up considerably on Saturday, which should be dry in most of the country except for a few scattered showers in the north. The morning will be quite cloudy and even overcast in many areas but this should clear towards noon to reveal plenty of bright spells.
Daytime temperatures will shoot up again practically everywhere, but the mercury will drop by a couple of degrees in the southeast of Spain.
Sunday February 18

Uncertainty remains regarding the trajectory of a front expected to pass through the northwest of the country on Sunday, but at the moment Aemet believes it will bring cloudy skies and potential rain to the area. It is possible that the rainfall may extend to the entire northern plateau, as well as parts of northeastern Catalonia.
In contrast, the southern half of Spain will experience mostly sunny skies with high clouds, while the Balearic Islands can expect partly cloudy intervals.
Temperature-wise, there will be a slight decrease in maximums along the Mediterranean coast, while the rest of the country experiences a gentle increase. Night-time temperatures will generally tend to go upward.
