Muddy rain, wind alerts and thunderstorms on the way: Alicante weather forecast March 2-5
Cloud, strong winds and the chance of thunderstorms are all on the cards for Alicante this week, with Saharan dust looming overhead

You might want to hold off on washing the car or cleaning the windows because March is getting off to a rather murky start. There are weather alerts in place for strong winds and even a chance of a few thunderstorms over the next few days. As if that is not enough, Saharan dust is lingering in the air, so any rain that falls will be muddy. All in all, not a great start to March.
Monday March 2

It will be a mostly cloudy start to the day across Alicante, with a dusty haze hanging in the air. There is a chance of some scattered showers throughout the day. Winds stay light early on in the day before picking up in the afternoon. There will be some strong gusts of wind near the coast.
Tuesday March 3

The northern areas of the province will be very overcast with spells of steady light rain. While the south of Alicante will see some bright, sunny periods but the Saharan dust will still be around. You may notice a rise in the temperature, especially at night. Northeasterly winds will be moderate overall and may turn strong at times near the coast and in exposed areas.
Wednesday March 4

Cloudy conditions continue and the dusty air is likely to stick around. Showers are possible and could occasionally turn thundery, though they become less likely the further south you are. Daytime temperatures dip slightly, particularly inland, while the moderate northeasterly breeze continues to make it feel a touch cooler.
Thursday March 5

Thursday will be the worst day, with thunderstorms and persistent rain throughout the day for the entire province. There is even the chance of hail in some areas. Winds will be moderate from the north along the coast, while inland areas should see lighter breezes. Temperatures will drop again and it will feel quite chilly and wintry overall.
With Saharan dust in the air take care, especially if you have respiratory issues. Windows and doors might be better kept shut to avoid dust getting inside and take in or cover your garden furniture. Keep an eye on the weather alerts and any recommendations sent out by your local town hall over the next few days.
