Murcia Airport to get new flight connection with Manchester in 2023
easyJet joins Ryanair in putting on flights between Murcia and Manchester for next year

Budget airline easyJet has announced it will be operating a new flight route between Manchester Airport and the Region of Murcia’s Corvera International Airport in 2023.
Between March 28, 2023 and September 26, 2023, easyJet will be putting on flights four weekly flights between Murcia and Manchester, two each way. It was originally announced that the flights would be starting on May 2, but this has been brought forward by over a month.
UPDATED FLIGHT TIMES:On Tuesdays, easyJet flight EZY2037 will go from Manchester to Murcia’s Corvera International Airport, leaving at 4.25pm and arriving at 8.30pm. The return flight EZY2038 from Murcia to Manchester will take off at 9.05pm and arrive at 11pm.On Saturdays, easyJet flight EZY2037 will fly from Manchester to Murcia, leaving at 3.10pm and arriving at 7.15pm. The return flight EZY2038 from Murcia to Manchester will take off at 7.50pm and arrive at 10.05pm.
The flights from October 2023 onwards have yet to be scheduled.
In addition to Ryanair, there will be 8 weekly connections between Murcia and Manchester Airport.
This latest announcement comes hot on the heels of one by Spanish airline Air Nostrum-Iberia that they will have flights between Murcia and Palma de Mallorca in March and April 2023.
More flight connections at Murcia Airport for 2023
The Regional authorities in Murcia have announced that they will be investing an extra 4 million euros to open more airport connections with the Region in 2023.
The Minister of Presidency, Tourism, Sport and Culture in the Region of Murcia, Marcos Ortuño, has vowed “to promote the transformation of the tourism model of the Region and achieve visitors with high spending power throughout the year and throughout the territory”.
Specifically, he said that they will spend 4 million euros to enhance the existing connections of the Region of Murcia International Airport and open new ones.
So far in 2022, 787,000 passengers have been registered as passing through Murcia Airport, recovering 76% of its pre-pandemic traffic.
This summer 2022 was the “best tourist summer in history” for Murcia as, in July, August and September alone, “we have surpassed the barrier of 600,000 travelers and two million overnight stays”. In addition, Murcia is the third region of Spain where tourists have increased their spending the most.
