ARCHIVED - Murcia registers highest property price increase in Spain
In just one year, the Region of Murcia has registered a property price increase of almost 5%

The Region of Murcia registered the largest property price increase in Spain this November, going up by an incredible 2.75% since October and 4.9% since last year.
In November the average prize per square metre in the Region was 1,069 (note: this average excludes new builds), but despite the increase since last month, the Region of Murcia is still the third cheapest autonomous community to buy a property in, after Extremadura (822 euros per square metre) and Castilla La Mancha (834 euros per sqm).
In addition, the city of Murcia was named as the seventh cheapest capital city in the country, with an average of 1,241 euros per sqm. This represents a year-on-year increase of 5.44%, which is the eight largest price increase in capital cities in the whole of Spain, and an increase of 2.97% since last month.
As a whole, the average price of property in Spain increased by 0.78% since October, and the figure compared to last year has risen by an impressive 1.86%, leaving this month’s national average per square metre at 1,868 euros.
