Murcia starts the weekend on alert for rain: Weather forecast September 20-23
It will be wet and stormy couple of days before the sun comes out again next week
Murcia weather forecast, Saturday September 21
It’s going to be a drizzly sort of weekend in the Region of Murcia, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which has issued a yellow weather warning for the northeastern part of the Region between 5pm and 10pm this Friday September 20 for accumulated rainfall of up to 15mm in one hour.
The cloudy skies will hang around all weekend, and heavy rains and thunderstorms are especially likely on Saturday 21. Aemet has issued another yellow warning, this time for the centre, south and Mar Menor areas of Murcia, between 6am and 2pm on Saturday.
That said, the wind isn’t expected to blow too harshly and if anything maximum temperatures are even going to go up, not down, so the days should feel a little warmer, even if the temperature at night starts to drop.
The rain will begin to peter out on Sunday 22 to coincide with the start of autumn, and for now there is no rain forecast for the beginning of next week, but rather sunny days and stable temperatures nearing 30ºC.
