Murcia weather forecast Oct 8-11: Chilly nights ahead but the sun returns for the long weekend
Rain should ease across the Region as temperatures fall inland before brighter and warmer conditions return

Weather outlook on bank holiday Sunday
After several days of rain and storms, the weather is finally settling down across the Region of Murcia, although there will be a noticeable difference between the coast and the cooler inland areas over the coming days.
Thursday October 8

Thursday will bring a much calmer picture, with generally clear or lightly cloudy skies and some higher cloud. There could be an isolated shower in the interior during the afternoon, but widespread rain is not expected.
It will still feel fairly warm in places, with 29°C in Cartagena, 28°C in Murcia, 26°C in Lorca and 25°C in Yecla. Caravaca will be noticeably cooler at around 24°C, with an overnight low of just 10°C.
Friday October 9

Friday looks more unsettled along parts of the coast and southeast, with AEMET currently giving Cartagena and San Javier a chance of some light rain, particularly later in the day. Cartagena could reach around 25°C, while San Javier is expected to reach 25°C.
Inland, temperatures will be lower. Lorca should reach around 24°C, while Caravaca could see 23°C and Yecla around 22°C.
Saturday October 10

Saturday is looking considerably brighter, with little or no rain expected across most of the Region. Cartagena and San Javier should reach around 25°C, while Murcia is expected to be a little warmer.
The biggest contrast will be overnight and early in the morning. AEMET forecasts lows of around 8°C in Caravaca and 7°C in Yecla, so it will feel distinctly autumnal in the higher inland areas.
Sunday October 11

Sunday should continue the improving trend, with mostly settled conditions and more sunshine. Cartagena and the Mar Menor area should reach around 26°C, while Lorca is forecast to reach 23°C.
Caravaca should also climb to around 23°C, with Yecla reaching approximately 24°C. The cooler mornings will remain the main reminder that autumn has arrived, particularly in the northwest and Altiplano.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Murcia this weekend:
- Thursday October 8: Min 10; Max 29°C
- Friday October 9: Min 10; Max 26°C
- Saturday October 10: Min 7; Max 25°C
- Sunday October 11: Min 8; Max 26°C
