Murcia weather update: Strong winds forecast this weekend
Meteorologists have updated their yellow warnings for wind and waves this Friday
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has updated its weather warnings for today, Friday February 23, and is now predicting extremely strong winds in almost all of the Region of Murcia.
They have issued a yellow weather warning for today for gusts of up to 80 kilometres per hour in the Altiplano area, in the Northwest, the Valle del Guadalentín in the south and the Vega del Segura this Friday morning, finishing at 10am.
On both Saturday 24 and Sunday 25, these weather warnings for winds remain in place in the Northwest of Murcia, and also across the border in Almería, but not in the rest of Murcia.
Take care when out on the roads or walking. Strong winds can knock the palm leaves off palm trees and cause other dangers. It’s also a good idea to avoid going near the sea.
