One rainy day, one sunny day, one rainy day, one sunny day… that’s basically what we can expect from the weather in the Region of Murcia this week, while temperatures also struggle to decide whether to cling onto the last vestiges of autumn or to plunge headfirst into winter.
The week starts off with foggy patches giving way to dark rainclouds that will give the flowers a good drink first thing in the morning on Monday December 4. By early afternoon, the garden will get another treat with a burst of sunshine, but it will hardly be warming as temperatures struggle to reach above 15ºC.

The next day will be something of the inverse at that, with Tuesday 5 starting off nice and sunny and growing cloudier across the course of the day, though temperatures will begin to rise.

Wednesday 6 will once again start off rainy and become brighter towards the afternoon, and by Thursday 7 it will start to feel like Groundhog Day as clear conditions give way to rain in the evening.
By Friday December 8, minimum temperatures at night will have risen up to 7ºC in the coldest parts of the Region, namely the northern towns such as Caravaca, Moratalla and Jumilla, and up to 11-14ºC in the south and southeast, around Mazarrón, Cartagena and San Javier. Daytime maximums, too, will once again be up to a toasty 17-20ºC in the north and 22-23ºC in the centre and south.

On the same day, though, it will be quite windy across the whole Region, with windspeeds of 25-30kmh and even as high as 40kmh in the far north.

While predicting the weather with any degree of accuracy so far in advance is of course tricky, current forecasts point to the weekend being sunny, if perhaps slightly cooler than Friday.
