Murcia's Ronda Norte tunnel closed to traffic this Tuesday and Wednesday
Neither lane of traffic will be open between November 12 at 9.30am and November 13 at 7.30am
The Ronda Norte tunnel in Murcia city will be closed to traffic from Tuesday November 12 at 9.30am in order to carry out improvement and repair work with the aim of "guaranteeing safety and the proper state of the road," according to municipal sources in a press release.
The traffic closure will last for a minimum period of 20 hours. With the aim of minimising inconvenience to users and avoiding the hours of greatest congestion, the closure is scheduled to begin this Tuesday November 12 at 9.30am, and it is estimated that the road will be reopened to traffic on Wednesday November 13 at 7.30am.
The work, which consists of sealing groundwater outcrops on the road surface, is necessary to prevent possible risks to traffic.
During the course of the work, Murcia City Council will provide alternative routes to facilitate traffic flow and minimise the impact on traffic.
In addition, the Local Police will collaborate in the closure and reorganisation of traffic, with the presence of officers who will ensure the safety of both workers and drivers. Users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and, as far as possible, to avoid the area during the period of action.
