ARCHIVED - New Almeria A-7 and Almanzora motorway connection put out to tender
The new stretch of motorway improves connectability in the Almeria province
The Andalusian regional government has announced that the project to build the stretch between La Concepción and the A-7 will cost almost 33 million euros, covered by European Feder funds, and will have an execution time of 22 months.
Companies have until the 15th of March to put in their bids for the tender to build a 3.6 kilometre stretch of dual carriageway linking the AL-7106 at La Concepción with the A-7 Mediterranean motorway, Public Works and Infrastructure delegate Marifrán Carazo reported.
Carazo explained that the people of Almeria have been waiting for better roads in the area since the mid-80s and said that not only will it benefit residents in the Almanzora area but also its own interconnectivity by linking it to the Mediterranean coast and the A-7.
Offers must be presented by March 15, with an execution period of 22 months.
