New cooking waste oil container installed at Condado de Alhama Golf Resort
Used cooking oil can now be dropped off between blocks 2 and 10 at La Isla C4 station

Recycling used cooking oil helps prevent clogged drains and environmental harm, while giving the oil a second life as biodiesel, fertilisers or even biodegradable plastics.
Instead of pouring it down the sink, locals are encouraged to let the oil cool, store it in a plastic bottle, then deposit it in the dedicated container.
Cooking oil recycling points are widespread across Spain, where olive and sunflower oils are everyday essentials in the kitchen. However, residents are reminded not to mix different types of waste oil.
Cooking oil and motor oil must be kept in separate containers and dropped off at separate clean points or designated areas within a recycling centre.
