November 2 The Kiev Ballet perform The Corsair in Cartagena
The choreography of Marius Petipa at the Auditorio El Batel in Cartagena
Despite the war in their home country the Kiev Ballet continues to tour Spain, and on this occasion they rediscover one of the most surprising classical ballets ever: Il Corsaro, or The Corsair, with music by Guiseppe Verdi and choreography by Jules Perrot and Marius Petipa.
Petipa, of course, is best known for the choreography of Swan Lake, arguably the most popular ballet ever.
The performance at the Auditorio El Batel on the seafront in Cartagena begins at 21.00 with tickets priced at 24, 31 and 35 euros and available online here.
