Shakespeare’s enduringly popular comedy at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena in Águilas
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of William Shakespeare most popular comedies and is still frequently performed today, although it was written as long ago as 1595 or 1596. It is set in Athens and a complex series of subplots surround the main story of 6 amateur actors preparing a performance at the wedding of Theseus and Hippolyta.
This Spanish version is presented by the Imagine Theatre company and begins at 20.30 in the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena in Águilas. Tickets are available online here for 10 euros, or alternatively at the local archaeological museum, the Casa de la Cultura and at the box office of the auditorium from 1 hour before the curtain rises.
