October 12 Mecano tribute show in Cartagena
Relive the most popular Spanish music of the 80s and 90s at the Batel auditorium in Cartagena
Mecano were the Spanish supergroup par excellence during the late 1980s and the 1990sm captivating the public with a series of catchy, poignant and upbeat tunes on hit albums such as Descanso Dominical, and this tribute show bears the name of one of their most popular tunes, Me Cuesta Tanto Olvidarte.
One of the key elements of Mecano’s success was the voice of Ana Torroja, and this is replicated almost exactly by the talented Belén Alarcón on stage as she performs numbers such as “Aire”, “Un Año Más”, “El 7 de Septiembre”, “Dalí”, “La fuerza del destino”, “No hay marcha en Nueva York” and a host of others. The backing music is also recreated faithfully, making this experience as close as possible to seeing Mecano live!
The show at the Auditorio El Batel in Cartagena on 12th October begins at 20.00 with tickets on sale at between 30 and 38 euros and available online here.
