ARCHIVED ARTICLEARCHIVED - October 7 to 11 Spectacular sound and light show in the port of Cartagena
Free entertainment at the new Plaza Mayor alongside the seafront in Cartagena
For five evenings between October 7 and 11 residents and visitors in the centre of Cartagena are being treated to a unique light and sound show next to the port of the city, an event which serves to underline the importance of the new Plaza Mayor public space on the seafront.
“Luz en el Puerto” is a show in which an innovative system uses drops of water to create images on a surface which measures over 30 metres in height, combining the effects of light shows, video mapping and a soundtrack to narrate the history of the port of Cartagena and the story of Neptune, the Roman God of the Sea.
The 10-minute show will be held three times each evening at 21.00, 21.45 and 22.30 at the Plaza Mayor, between the “Zulo” and the old Club de Regatas. Admission is completely free of charge and no prior booking is required.
