Other sporting facilities, Las Terrazas de la Torre
Torre Pacheco and the Mar Menor offer a wealth of sporting facilities
Of course the main sporting attraction on La Torre Golf Resort is the 18-hole golf course, and unfortunately the secondary facilities are few and far between.
Communal swimming pools are located in each area of apartment blocks and are available for the use of residents and visitors, and thanks to the low occupancy rate visitors are unlikely to be troubled by too much noise or activity in the gardens around them.
Cycle paths run through the resort but there are no tennis or paddle tennis courts, and those hoping to extend their sporting activities beyond golf will realistically have to search elsewhere. There are two tennis courts on the sister resort of La Torre, about four kilometres away, and paddle tennis is available at an independent club in Roldán for between ten and eighteen euros an hour (depending on time of day and floodlight use.
There are, however, many opportunities to enjoy sports off resort and the nearby Mar Menor area offers windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, kitesurfing, diving, jet ski and of course, swimming.
Torre Pacheco itself has a number of excellent sports centres and facilities with public gyms and swimming facilities as part of the municipal sports complexes.
More information about the Las Terrazas de la Torre Resort can be found in the dedicated Las Terrazas de la Torre resort section, accessed via the map box at the bottom of ebvery page, under the area heading of urbanisations.
