Rain returns to the Region: Murcia weather forecast August 22-25
There’s a good chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Region of Murcia all weekend

Weather outlook in Murcia this Sunday
Following the torrential downpours brought to Murcia last week by a DANA, the Region has been enjoying a few days of settled weather and marginally cooler temperatures.
However, the rain is set to return just in time for the weekend and the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow level warning for storms and heavy rain in the Altiplano, the Northwest and Vega del Segura on Thursday.
For the rest of the weekend, all weather alerts have been removed, but it will become a lot more unsettled and there’s a good chance of more rain, if a little lighter, in several parts of the Region.
Thursday August 22

The rain and thunderstorm warning will be in effect from 12 noon until midnight on Thursday, with accumulations of 15mm of water expected in just one hour in inland municipalities. At the moment it looks as though Cartagena and Mazarrón should escape the rain, but Lorca and Águilas have now been placed on alert.
Inland areas will be slightly overcast all day, while the rest of the Region should be mostly clear after a little early morning cloudiness. Despite the rain, daytime temperatures will continue to climb inland, remaining much the same everywhere else.
Friday August 23

Partly cloudy skies are forecast again on Friday in most parts, but it will be darker in the mountains of the Northwest, where occasional showers and thunderstorms are a possibility in the afternoon.
Temperatures will start to creep up across the board.
Saturday August 24

As we head into the weekend, the mercury will inch up by another degree or so in most places. Saturday promises to be largely sunny after some morning cloudiness, and the Northwest is again facing scattered rain and storms.
Sunday August 25

The rain will become more widespread on Sunday and while no weather alerts have been activated yet, the entire Region can expect at least some showers, or even the occasional thunderstorm during the afternoon.
High temperatures mean it will be a fairly muggy day overall and the evening will be equally uncomfortable, with the mercury failing to dip below 26ºC in Cartagena or 23ºC in Murcia at night.
An easterly breeze will also be far more blustery along the coast.
