ARCHIVED - Ramada Resort by Wyndham opens new hotel in Puerto de Mazarron
The new resort hotel, which has 120 rooms and a swimming pool, will officially open on June 2
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchise company with approximately 9,000 hotels in 95 countries, has announced the opening of a newly renovated 120-room Ramada by Wyndham branded property in Puerto de Mazarrón, Murcia.
Located ten minutes from the seafront promenade and marina, Ramada Resort by Wyndham Puerto de Mazarrón (formerly known as Hotel La Cumbre) stands out for its privileged location, crowning a hill overlooking the tourist town of Puerto de Mazarrón.
Due to its unique location, says the hotel in a press release, it “boasts incomparable views of the bay of Mazarrón and the Sierra de las Moreras mountain range” and “it was precisely the beauty of its location that won over the new owner of the hotel, the Indian investor Chander Gidwani” who decided to acquire the property after having considered various investment options in other Spanish destinations.
The beach is a ten-minute walk from the hotel, which also has an outdoor swimming pool, solarium and rooftop terrace. The hotel also has an à la carte restaurant, specialising in Mediterranean cuisine, as well as a gym, a meeting room and free parking. All the rooms have a balcony or terrace and there is also a children’s pool and play area for families.
The renovation of the hotel was the work of the RB Interior Design studio by Fátima Ballesteros, which has managed to include touches of the Indian owner’s origin combined with Western comfort.
“Families, couples, business travellers and even celebrities have traditionally chosen this hotel for their visits to Puerto de Mazarrón,” said Chander Gidwani, owner of the hotel. “We look forward to welcoming them back, now with Ramada by Wyndham, an international brand of great projection and with which we feel aligned in standards and values. The global tourism recovery is in line with our forecasts and we are confident of a successful first season.”
Ramada Resort by Wyndham Puerto de Mazarrón will celebrate its official opening party on June 2.
