Restaurante Coquus in Alhama de Murcia is located on Avenida Juan Carlos I, one of the main streets which lead into the town centre from the south and the E-15 motorway, and is visible from the N-344a dual carriageway as it skirts the south of the town. Parking is normally relatively easy on the residential streets nearby.

With seating for 65 inside and a comfortable outdoor terrace area, this is a popular lunchtime venue, and there is also a private dining area which can be made available on request.

The cuisine is described as Mediterranean with modern influences, and recommended dishes include the baked octopus, cod with caramelized onions and “piquillo” pepper sauce and the various beef dishes on the menu.

A Menú del Día is offered for only 9€, and a group menu is also available at 25€ per head, while those whose gastronomic curiosity is aroused can opt for a sampler menu at 35€. Credit card payment is accepted, and wi-fi is available to all customers. The main dining room and the toilets are accessible for those of limited mobility.

Apart from the standard and à la carte menus, the Coquus also organizes regular gastronomic and wine-tasting events, and a home delivery service is also supplied within the town of Alhama. Catering can be arranged for special events.

Throughout the year Restaurante Coquus is open all week except Sunday evenings and Mondays, and the restaurant usually closes during the first fortnight of July.
