Santiago de la Ribera Outlet Fair closes with sales of more than 50,000 euros
The Fair, which was held next to Barnuevo beach during the Easter long weekend, received more than 5,000 visitors
One day after it closed, the traders’ associations “San Javier, ciudad de compras”, and “San Javier, centro abierto” calculated that sales during the Outlet Fair, held from Thursday March 28 to Sunday 31, exceeded 50,000 euros in sales.
An estimated 5,000 people visited the Fair, in which 17 shops took part and which occupied the stalls located on the Barnuevo esplanade in Santiago de la Ribera.
Shopping was the main attraction of the Fair, but there was also a parallel programme of leisure and entertainment activities for all ages.
Despite the windy conditions at the weekend, the Fair ran fairly smoothly, with children’s workshops, dance workshops and performances from the Yaiza Dance Studio all going off without a hitch, as well as tryout sessions for water sports.
The Outlet Fair, which celebrated its 14th edition this year, is organised by the Department of Commerce, through the Local Development Agency with the collaboration of the traders’ associations.
