Click HereSeason tickets are now on sale for the next season of classical musical concerts at the Auditorio Infanta Elena in Águilas between October 2022 and June 2023, with staggeringly good value for a wide range of concerts and two operas.
The schedule for the season is as follows:
October 9: La Bohème, the opera with music scored by Puccini.
October 28: The Region of Murcia Symphony Orchestra (OSRM) perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto nº 4, Débussy’s Rhapsody for clarinet and orchestra and The Firebird by Stravinsky. Guest pianist Manos Kitsifopoulos, clarinettist Ángel López Soler.
November 25: A dual piano recital featuring the Aracil brothers.
December 9: Carmina Burana (Orff) performed by the Atlántida Symphony Orchestra and the Discantus choir with soloists.
January 2: The OSRM offer their New Year concert in the Águilas auditorium.
January 20: Pianist Francesco Mazzoletto performs works by Mussorgsky, Liszt and Beethoven.
February 10: The Cartagena Symphony Orchestra perform Rachmaninov’s 2nd Piano Concerto and the Death of Isolde. Pianist Konstantinos Destounis.
March 24: The opera Turandot by Puccini, featuring the Nessun Dorma aria made famous by Luciano Pavarotti.
April 14: The OSRM perform Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C major and Tchaikovsky’s “Pathétique” Symphony (nº 6). Soloists Laura Rodríguez Moreno (violin), David Apellaniz (cello) and Carlos Apellaniz (piano).
April 28: A concert of baroque music, details yet to be published.
May 19: The OSRM perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the National Choir of Spain and soloists.
June 2: Piano recital by Andrea Turini, performing the Golbert Variations by Johann Sebastian Bach.
June 23: The season closes with a performance by the OSRM of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet.
ALL EVENTS BEGIN AT 20.30 EXCEPT THE PERFORMANCE OF LA BOHÉME ON OCTOBER 9 (19.00).
Season tickets for all 13 events are priced at just 130 euros, while those who prefer to fight shy of opera can buy season tickets for the remaining 11 concerts at 110 euros.
To put these prices into perspective, the tickets for individual concerts are on sale at 20 euros each, except the two operas (30 euros)!

Águilas boasts 28 kilometres of coastline, with many fine, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and unspoilt natural beaches. It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)
Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.
The tourist information office is located in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos, just a short walk from the sea front and Plaza de España, a cool, shaded space in which to enjoy a coffee.
