ARCHIVED - Settled weather returns to Spain: forecast February 21 to 23
Temperatures plummeted across Spain over the weekend
As storm Eunice battered much of Europe throughout the weekend, it brought a front of wintery weather to Spain with temperatures plummeting by up to 15 degrees on Saturday in the eastern half of the peninsula. On Sunday, it remained chilly for the most part and the north of the country was hit with scattered showers, but the outlook is much more spring-like for the coming week.
Monday February 21 has dawned bright and sunny in most of the country, with dry, settled weather predominating. Weak and scattered rain is forecast once again for Galicia and northern provinces, while the occasional storm can’t be ruled out in the Canary Islands as the day wears on.
After a severe drop over the last couple of days, maximum temperatures are on the rise, with temperatures increasing the most in the southeast of Spain. Night-time temperatures will take a dip however, with the exception of the northwest, while a cool but light north wind will blow in most areas.

Dry and sunny weather is forecast again for Tuesday February 22, with slightly cloudy or clear skies.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, temperatures will drop slightly in western Andalucía, the Mediterranean coast and the Canary Islands, while the mercury will remain stable in the rest of the country. Loose, variable north-westerly winds are expected across Spain.
