ARCHIVED - Seventeen yellow flags for caution on beaches in Murcia this Tuesday
The Emergency Coordination Centre in the Region of Murcia has asked bathers to remain vigilant on its beaches
The Plan Copla beach surveillance posts have raised yellow flag warnings for seventeen beaches in Águilas, Cartagena, Lorca and San Javier, asking swimmers to remain cautious while in the water on Tuesday, August 3.
• In Águilas, a yellow flag is flying on the beaches of La Cabaña, La Carolina, Calarreona and Matalentisco
• In Cartagena, yellow flags have been placed on the beaches of Monteblanco, Galúa, Las Sirenas, Entremares and Levante de Cabo de Palos.
• In Lorca, yellow flags are flying in Puntas de Calnegre
• San Javier has a yellow flag on the beaches of Banco del Tabal (south and north, Pedrucho (south and north), Arenal (south and north) and Estacio south
The rest of the beaches have a green flag, according to sources from the Emergency Coordination Centre.
Sadly, a man drowned La Manga del Mar Menor last week, so officials have asked beachgoers to pay special attention to the colour of the flags before venturing into the sea.
Information about the different beaches of the region can be found in the Murcia beach guide, which gives full information about all the different beaches, and their swimming conditions of the more than 200 beaches in this region. Click here; Murcia beach guide.
