Spanish Reggaeton stars choose Mazarron to film their new music video
The southern Murcia town was chosen as the location for the hot new video clip
The Spanish singer Lydia Martín, in collaboration with reggaeton star Salva Ortega, has chosen Mazarrón as the main setting for the filming of her latest video clip, entitled ‘Ojalá’, which is Spanish for ‘If only’.
This project, which is part of Lydia’s fourth album, uses the spectacular rock formations of the municipality of Mazarrón as a background for the video.
The town’s Councillor for Culture, Jorge Durán, expressed his gratitude to both artists for putting the name of Mazarrón on the regional and national map with this new music video.
He also stressed the importance of this gesture to help promote tourism and local Mazarrón culture, inviting other artists to consider Mazarrón as an ideal setting for their future projects. “I want to take this opportunity to encourage all artists who want an enviable environment in their next projects to choose Mazarrón, not only for the mining environment, but for its beaches and historic centre which are unparalleled in the Region of Murcia.”
Lydia Martín shared her personal experience of discovering the beauty of Mazarrón, highlighting the richness of the surroundings and her inspiration for framing the story of the song. She also expressed her gratitude for having the collaboration of Salva Ortega.
For his part, Salva Ortega encouraged viewers to visit Mazarrón and enjoy the natural and cultural settings where the video clip was filmed, highlighting the beauty and uniqueness of the municipality.
