Spring temperatures before weekend rain: Spain weather forecast Feb 26-Mar 1
Southern Spain will enjoy highs of 25°C but the rain will return to northern regions

Temperatures on Friday afternoon, February 27
The next few days are set to bring largely settled weather across Spain, ending the month of February and meteorological winter with unseasonably warm, spring-like temperatures. The notable exception will be the Canary Islands, where a front will bring heavy rain and strong gusts of wind over the weekend.
Thursday February 26

On Thursday, most of Spain will enjoy a very stable day. Early morning fog could appear in parts of the northwest, the Ebro Valley, Mallorca and some areas along the Mediterranean coast, but this should clear as the day goes on. For the rest of the country and the Balearic Islands, skies are expected to stay mostly clear.
Temperatures on Thursday will feel more like late spring than the tail end of winter. Highs could reach up to 25°C in the south, and in many other areas they will climb above 20°C. Overnight and early morning temperatures will remain cooler, with frost limited to mountainous areas and spots prone to temperature inversion. In the south, minimum temperatures will sit at around 10°C.
Friday February 27

This settled spell will begin to change on Friday as an Atlantic front moves in from the west. Rain will start in Galicia in the early hours, becoming heavier along the coast of A Coruña and Lugo. As the day progresses, wet weather will spread to Asturias, Castilla y León, Cantabria, the Basque Country and Navarra, where it is expected to arrive later in the day before turning heavy overnight and into the early hours.
Night-time temperatures will remain largely unchanged and it will be a little warmer at the height of the day along the Mediterranean.
Saturday February 28

On Saturday, the front will continue moving eastwards, bringing rain to parts of Andalucia, Cuenca, Teruel and Lleida. In some areas, showers could be accompanied by thunderstorms, which are not unusual at this time of year. As Saturday goes on, the rain is expected to ease and gradually clear away from Spain.
Daytime temperatures will drop across the board, but the mercury will still hit or even exceed 20°C in large parts of southern Spain.
Sunday March 1

The weather should settle down again on Sunday, although cloudy skies are still forecast in the south of the country and in the Balearic Islands. Daytime temperatures will continue to fall, dipping into the high-teens in most parts.
