Sucina Flamenco Festival

The Peña Flamenca de Sucina

Sucina Flamenco FestivalOne of the most important cultural activities of the year in Sucina is the annual Flamenco Festival, held in the latter part of July.

This is hosted by the well supported and enthusiastic Peña Flamenca de Sucina, who not only organize this annual event but also attend other flamenco festivals across Spain, enjoying their shared love of flamenco.

Their own festival, Flamenco Va!, is achieving increased stature and is becoming a larger and more important event as part of the regional flamenco festivals held every summer.

Sucina Flamenco FestivalThere is no entry fee, although attendees are asked if they would like to buy a raffle ticket for a prize draw instead, a normal procedure at many Spanish events, and there is always a bar serving tapas and drinks, the money from which helps to fund the festival.
