ARCHIVED - Summer heat forces change of venue for Águilas Covid vaccination centre
Jabs will now be administered at the Águilas Plaza shopping centre on the edge of town
The arrival of summer temperatures in the Costa Cálida has made it necessary for the Town Hall of Águilas to relocate its coronavirus vaccination centre from the Pabellón Diego Calvo Valera to the second floor of the Águilas Plaza shopping centre on the north-eastern edge of the town centre, it has been announced by councillor Cristóbal Casado.
Access to the vaccination centre will be by the north entrance or direct from the car park of the mall, according to Sr Casado, and it will be in service in time for the next immunization session on Friday 18th June between 9.00 and 16.00. On that day those who were born between 1st January 1962 and 31st December 1971 will be called to receive their second vaccine dose after being administered the first on 28th May, with approximately 2,500 people expected to attend.
