Temperatures will remain high but rain and storms are on the way midweek
Murcia weather forecast, Thursday February 22
In the early part of this week in Spain, the weather will be nice and sunny, but will turn rainy and stormy come Thursday.
On Monday February 19 and Tuesday 20, it will be bright and sunny across the board, with some light cloud cover and some “generally light rainfall” in Cantabria and the Pyrenees, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), while the Canary Islands have “clear skies” with some hazy, foggy conditions.

On Wednesday 21, the cloudiness will increase in the northern half of the country and there will be “intervals of strong south-westerly winds with very strong gusts in northern Galicia and north-western Asturias”, accompanied by some gentle showers. In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals are expected in the north of the islands at first, with a tendency to clear. Maximum temperatures will increase slightly and remain high for this time of year in most of the country.

It is on Thursday 22 that the rain begins to set in, sweeping eastwards across the country off the Atlantic Ocean until it covers most of the north, centre and west of the country by evening, leaving the eastern Mediterranean coast and the Balearic Islands dry. In most places, the rain will bring a drop in temperatures, but in the Levante and the Canary Islands it will actually get warmer, up to 25ºC or more during the day.
