Three more days of lovely weather before rain is expected to return

An unseasonably warm day for Alicante province today, albeit probably not quite as hot as state meteorology agency Aemet predicted at the start of the week.

This should be followed by a couple of milder but still quite warm days with not much cloud about but it looks like there will be intervals of rain throughout Sunday.

Thursday, October 23

The outlook for lunchtime today

Cloudy intervals this morning but clearing up other than some high cloud in the afternoon.

Not much change to minimum temperatures and maximums slightly higher than yesterday.

The wind is likely to get quite strong at times though, with yellow warnings from 9am for the interior and 12pm for the north until 5pm.

It will blow moderately, occasionally strongly from the west with some very strong gusts of up to about 55 km/h, although these are less likely in the south and it will tend to die off towards the end of the day.

Friday, October 24

Mostly clear skies around midday on Friday

Some cloudy intervals but mostly quite clear followed by high cloud in the late afternoon.

A slight drop in nighttime low temperatures, and daytime highs are expected to drop back below 30ºC on the coast but rise slightly in the interior.

The wind will still be westerly but only light to moderate and a bit more intense in the middle of the day.

Saturday, October 25

The high and low temperatures for Saturday

A cloudy morning in the far south but clear skies elsewhere, and a few clouds across the province in the afternoon.

Another slight drop in minimum temperatures, but maximums are predicted to remain in the high 20s and possibly a bit warmer than Friday.

Light southerly wind in the morning, becoming northerly in the south in the afternoon and then westerly in the evening.

Sunday, October 26

Cloud is predicted to cover the skies overnight, bringing rain from the north and spreading southwards, making for cloudy intervals with rain all over the province for the rest of the day.

This shouldn’t affect temperatures that much though, with minimums and maximums only dropping significantly in the interior.

The north may be a bit cooler in the night and day, but only the daytime highs are likely to be a little lower in more central and southern areas.
