Sunshine and rain: Alicante weekend weather forecast October 2-5
Saturday is looking very hot and sunny but make the most of it, as it won't last
An unseasonably hot Saturday awaits
A stable couple of days lie ahead, gradually warming up before it could get quite hot on Saturday, even getting into the low 30s in the south of Alicante province, according to state meteorological agency Aemet.
This mini-heatwave will not last however, as clouds are forecast to come in on Sunday, bringing some rain and a potentially grey and wet start to next week.
Thursday, October 2
Only a little cloud about this afternoon but maybe the odd shower
Just a few cloudy intervals today, after a morning of mist and fog banks inland, but mostly clear in the afternoon with the odd possible shower around the northern interior.
Temperatures are much the same as yesterday, with minimums around 17ºC nearer the coast but a few degrees lower in the interior.
The wind is light and variable this morning, and will tend to be light and south-easterly this afternoon.

Friday, October 3
Just some high altitude clouds on Friday
Mostly clear skies with high-altitude clouds across the province all day.
Before that, parts of the interior will probably wake up to low stratus clouds, mist and fog banks in the morning.
Very little change in minimum temperatures, just a tad cooler, and maximums are set to rise, by more in some areas than in others.
The wind will start off light and variable, with moderate south-westerly intervals in the central hours of the day and the westerly component tending to predominate in the interior for the second half of the day.

Mostly just high clouds during the day with a few lower clouds later on, probably only getting particularly cloudy in the far south of the province in the late afternoon.
This time it will be parts of the coast that are likely to start the day with some low stratus clouds, mist and fog banks.
There may be a very slight rise in minimum temperatures but the maximums are set to climb again, approaching 30ºC in many places, or even higher in the south.
The usual light, variable winds in the morning will give way in the afternoon to an easterly component on the coast and a westerly component inland.

Sunday, October 5
Clouds and some rain moving in later on Sunday
Cloudy intervals in the morning, particularly along the coast and thicker cloud in the far south.
The north of the province will cloud over too in the afternoon, possibly bringing some scattered showers to that part of the province, and maybe in the evening to the far south as well.
Minimum temperatures are unlikely to change much, while maximums are forecast to drop - particularly in the southern areas that were the hottest on Saturday.
Light to moderate winds in the morning, predominantly from the east along the southern part of the coast and northerly in the north, with a north-easterly breeze bringing the wetter weather in the afternoon.
The thick cloud is expected to persist into Monday, bringing more showers and cooler temperatures right across Alicante province.
