Sunshine and soaring temperatures: Alicante weather forecast April 11-14
Daytime temperatures could climb as high as 27ºC in parts of Alicante province this weekend
Weather outlook on Saturday April 13
As Alicante prepares to celebrate the annual festival of Santa Faz this weekend, the forecast is for mostly sunny skies and the daytime temperatures promise to increase day by day, hitting the high 20s in parts on Sunday.
"Stability is returning, it will be present on Thursday and will remain until the beginning of next week. Sunny weather with very pleasant temperatures at midday that can be around 22 or 23 degrees," explained the director of the Climatology Laboratory at the University of Alicante, Jorge Olcina.
Thursday April 11
Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with minimal clouds. Night-time temperatures will begin edging upward, but for now there will be no major changes at the height of the day.
A gentle, fresh breeze will blow from the east and northeast.

Alcoy: 8ºC to 20ºC
Alicante: 12ºC to 20ºC
Denia: 12ºC to 20ºC
Elche: 11ºC to 21ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 22ºC
Friday April 12
We can look forward to mostly sunny conditions as we head into the weekend, and the mercury will take a noticeable upswing.
Variable morning winds will shift toward eastern and northeastern directions in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 8ºC to 22ºC
Alicante: 10ºC to 21ºC
Denia: 12ºC to 22ºC
Elche: 9ºC to 23ºC
Orihuela: 9ºC to 23ºC
Saturday April 13
Mostly clear to partially cloudy throughout the day. Temperatures will increase significantly, particularly inland, reaching the mid 20s in most areas.
Variable winds will pick up locally, combined with gentle sea breezes in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 10ºC to 25ºC
Alicante: 12ºC to 22ºC
Denia: 13ºC to 23ºC
Elche: 10ºC to 25ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 25ºC
Sunday April 14
Continuing the trend, we can prepare for predominantly clear to partly cloudy weather on Sunday, and the temperatures will remain largely unchanged or rise slightly.
The light winds will again be changeable, with occasional sea breezes in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 11ºC to 26ºC
Alicante: 13ºC to 24ºC
Denia: 13ºC to 23ºC
Elche: 11ºC to 26ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 27ºC
