Tejeda celebrates 10 years as one of Spain's most beautiful villages, a must-visit this autumn

Tucked away in the heart of Gran Canaria, Tejeda is marking a decade since it was named one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain. Since joining the national network in 2015, the town has become a shining example of blending tourism with heritage preservation and sustainable living. The people of Tejeda, alongside the local council, have worked hard to keep the village’s authentic charm intact, protecting its rural atmosphere while welcoming visitors.Tejeda sits more than 1,000 metres above sea level, offering breathtaking panoramic views of iconic natural wonders like Roque Bentayga and Roque Nublo, especially spectacular in autumn. Meanwhile, summer features the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with traditional processions, dances, and lively fairs that keep community spirit alive.
