ARCHIVED - Three Kings to visit San Javier and La Manga: January 5
Children in San Javier, Santiago de La Ribera and La Manga will be able to greet the Three Kings this year
Three Kings celebrations are to go ahead in the municipality of San Javier, with Covid safety restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
The traditional January 5 celebrations in San Javier, Santiago de la Ribera and La Manga del Mar Menor have been modified slightly this year, with extra security measures in place.
Santiago de la Ribera
At 5.30pm, the Three Wise Men will arrive at the Barnuevo promenade in a classic car. There will be a musical performance after which children will be allowed to greet the Three Kings (maintaining proper social distancing measures).
San Javier
At 8.30pm in the plaza de España in San Javier, there is going to be a musical and light performance with fireworks and then the Mayor will receive the Three Kings from the Town Hall balcony, from where he will hand over the “magical key” which allows the Three Kings to enter all of the homes in San Javier and leave presents.
La Manga del Mar Menor
The Three Kings will arrive at Galerías Flamenco, near El Zoco at km 4 of La Manga, at 6.30pm and children will be able to greet them.
Representatives from the Town Hall have reminded residents to wear masks, respect security fences and barriers and maintain social distance during all of the events.
