Hang ten and get ready to ride the epic waves of Ibiza!

In this gnarly article, we're diving into the best surf spots on this legendary island paradise. Whether you’re a wave warrior or a salty sea newbie, Ibiza’s got your back, Jack, with epic breaks and killer barrels in great abundance. From the world-class reef breaks at Es Cubells’ Beach to the radical beach breaks of Cala Nova, this surfer’s playground offers something for every shred-head. So wax up your board, paddle out, and let’s explore the gnarliest surf spots that’ll have you stoked to catch the perfect wave in Ibiza’s turquoise waters.
Before we get to our list of the most radical spots to shred some waves, let’s discuss another part of your trip: airport transfer.
You will likely be arriving via the main airport on the island. The most efficient way to get to the beach, or your accommodation, is with Ibiza Airport transfers. AtoB Transfer offers a wide range of vehicles, from small to large, making them perfect to transport your board with. Aside from all the vehicles, they also offer a lot of extra add-ons for you to customise your ride with. Among others, they offer child seats, additional stops, extra waiting time, and even the ability to rock out to some sick tunes during the ride by adding your Spotify Playlist to your booking – maybe some Beach Boys would be appropriate?
With that out the way, let’s check some totally gnarly beaches to rip some sick waves at.
1. Cala S’Aigua Blanca
Located on the northern part of Spain’s island of Ibiza, this beach has great waves and wind. Contrary to popular belief, this spot is actually really good for surfing during the off-season. With fewer tourists, you can enjoy the waves a lot more. Pro surfers have claimed that waves can reach up to 8 feet! There are some great cliffs in the background, meaning your view while waiting to catch the next swell are going to be awesome!

2. Cala Nova
This beach, also up north, offers killer waves all year round, although it is recommended to visit in autumn or spring, as this is when the waves are at their largest. You won’t be disappointed here, just as you won’t by booking an AtoB airport transfer in advance.
3. Cala Llenya
The reliability of the waves is also high at this beach. There are a lot of coves located around this beach, which guarantee some pretty sick views while you’re waiting to shred. The seabed is mostly smooth, with only a few rocks here and there, so you won’t have to worry about hitting your noggin.
4. Playa Jondal
A long stretch of beach, this time in the south of the island, is definitely a favourite surfing spot in Spain, as it is within walking distance of the island’s best discotheques. You can also find a lot of stores around, thus, if you get hungry whilst waiting for the next rad barrel, you can totally chow down. You can also grab some food after or before your Ibiza airport taxi ride, no biggie.
5. Es Cubells’ Beach
This is the first beach on the list that isn’t well-known, and is nicely secluded. If you prefer to visit a beach that won’t be overrun by Barney’s, then this is your go-to choice. If you’re looking to Hang Ten, or even Hang Eleven, you should prefer this beach. It is popular for having few Hodads, and lots of Clam draggers, serious Nug action and pumping weather.

That’s all Surferinos! Book that AtoB airport taxi, wax that Gun, and get ready for the ultimate surfing vacation in Ibiza! Happy Travels!
