The Town Hall or Ayuntamiento is the focal point of each Spanish municipality and is the base from which the local council run the essential services of any municipality.

The main Town Hall building in Torre Pacheco contains many of the local offices for other council services, including consumer complaints, the Padrón office for those wishing to register as residents, the municipal tax office and the municipal payments centre for those paying municipal taxes and the urban office for those seeking minor works permits and works licences.
