The Tourist information office in Orihuela is located inside the former palace of the Marqués de Rafal in the Plaza de la Soledad number 5. This is just around the corner from the main Cathedral, and a good central point from which to begin a guided route or sightseeing tour of the old city and historic monuments. Orihuela is absolutely crammed with historic churches and buildings, and it’s advisable to try and follow a route around just one section of the city rather than trying to do all of it in one visit, so a visit to the tourist office to pick up a map is a good place to start.
