Ouigo has really taken the shine off Spain’s state rail operator Renfe by launching its January sales a day early, flooding the market with cut price high speed train tickets across the country.
The low cost rail operator announced on Wednesday January 7 that it is releasing 680,000 seats, around 80% of its total availability, priced at less than €33. The move comes just hours before Renfe is due to unveil its own promotion offering AVE tickets from €15.
Passengers booking with Ouigo can snap up tickets at fixed prices of €9, €15, €19, €25, €29 and €33 until next Wednesday January 14. The fares are available via the company’s website and mobile app.
