Entertainment and food throughout the festive season on the seafront in Cartagena

The traditional Christmas market in Cartagena opens on Friday December 14 on the esplanade next to the Alfonso XIII jetty, offering a wide range of festive godos and entertainment until the day after Three Kings, closing on January 7.

The entertainment side of the event is titled “La Fábrica de Elfos” (The Elf Factory) and the market officially opens on December 15 at 18.00, with 15 stalls taking part.

The daily timetable runs from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00, with plenty of activities planned for both children and adults, while a “gastronomic zone” ensures that no-one goes hungry.

Among the special events on the program are the following:

December 16, Face-painting at 12.00.

December 17, Writing letters to Father Christmas at 12.00.

December 23, Storytelling at 12.00.

December 24, Mums and Dads disco at 12.00.

December 28, The Elf Factory at 12.00.

December 29, Cooking with Mother Christmas at 12.00.

December 29, Father Christmas karaoke at 12.00.

In addition, a sound and light show is being held in Plaza Cartagena de los Mundos on December 22, 23, 24, 28, 30 and 31 and January 4, 5 and 6 between 11.30 and 13.30 horas.
