ARCHIVED - Until May 8 FREE open-air wine exhibition in Torrevieja
The photo exhibit in Spanish and English tells the history of Alicante wines

There is an open-air exhibition telling the history of wine in the Alicante province, which you can visit on Torrevieja’s central thoroughfare Paseo Vista Alegre from now until Monday May 8.
Titled ‘3,000 years of Alicante wine culture’, the exhibition consists of several photographs that show the vast wine-growing tradition of the area, recreated through contemporary illustrations and posters in both Spanish and English.
The history of wine-growing in Alicante has been known since ancient times, and this exciting new exhibition explains it all – from the amphoras, boats and exports to the role of popular culture, trade unions and the bourgeoisie.
The exhibition is available to visit free of charge on the Paseo Vista Alegre until May 8.
