The exhibition “Enraizadas” by photographer Mayca Montero Gil can be visited at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal in Águilas until Friday October 6, featuring images of emblematic landscapes and locations in the Region of Murcia being experienced by women.
Among the locations chosen is the Playa de los Cocedores in Águilas, the westernmost beach of the Costa Cálida, while the other locations chosen the desert landscape of Mahoya in Abanilla, the Barrancos de Gebas in Alhama de Murcia, Las Fuentes del Marqués in Caravaca, the Navidad lighthouse in Cartagena, the Macetúa in Cieza, Bodegas Contreras in Lorca, the old mines of Mazarrón, Poza Los Gemelos in Moratalla, Murcia cathedral, the hanging bridge of Solvente in Ojós, the salt flats of San Pedro del Pinatar and Monte Arabí in Yecla.
This is a touring exhibition which is visiting various locations in the Region, and each image is accompanied by texts from the works of Alejandra Pizarnik, Simone de Beauvoir, Virgina Woolf and others.
