Various fatalities and dozens injured after restaurant collapses in Mallorca
Part of the building was said to be undergoing renovations when it crumbled in on itself

At least four people have been confirmed dead and dozens more injured after a restaurant collapsed in Palma de Mallorca, Spain this Thursday evening, May 23.
The restaurant 'Medusa Beach Club' in Playa de Palma is located on the ground floor of a two-storey building and was undergoing renovation work when the collapse happened at around 8.30pm.
Playa de Palma is an area that is popular with tourists, with the terraces and bars overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
So far, four people have been confirmed dead, one of them a construction worker, and at least 27 others injured. It is believed that there may still be some people trapped inside waiting to be rescued.
Police, paramedics and emergency rescue crews are currently at the scene attending to the wounded and trapped.
Earlier this month, two construction workers died in Madrid when the wall of a building they were renovating fell on top of them.
