Spanish language tuition with Vivien Stuart
Classes for all levels, in groups or one-to-one in the Puerto de Mazarrón
Vivien Stuart is a native English speaking teacher working in the Puerto de Mazarrón, and teaches both Spanish and English.
Vivien has lived in Spain for more than 30 years and as she is married to a Spanish national considers Spanish to be her first language, but as a native English speaker who went through the process of herself learning the language, fully understands the needs, frustrations and issues which can face native English speakers who wish to learn Spanish.
Conversely, her absolute fluency in Spanish means that Spanish nationals wishing to learn or improve their English can be guaranteed a high level of tuition with someone who fully understands the nuances of their own language and how that translates into English.
Before moving to the Puerto de Mazarrón in 2002 Vivien spent ten years teaching English in Madrid, with her clients including Induyco (the El Corte Inglés group) and Heineken España, and prior to embarking on a teaching career had worked as a top-level PA.
Vivien works with students of all levels, adapting her courses to their varying speeds and styles of learning. Those who feel the need to rely on a solid base of vocabulary and grammar will be supplied with one, while for others whose need is for real-life conversational skills, a more communicative approach is adopted.
Classes are given in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, usually at the “Beep” computer store on Avenida Doctor Meca in Puerto de Mazarrón run by her husband (although for businesses and other groups Vivien can travel to other venues in south-west Murcia). The classroom at Beep is fully equipped for classes structured around grammar and both oral and written skills, with DVD media used to provide complementary activities. Vivien’s working timetable is from 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 21.00.
Testimony to the success of Vivien’s methods is her excellent reputation as a quality teacher and the fact that many of her students stay with her year after year as they gradually acquire a better working knowledge of Spanish: if you’re interested in becoming one of them, contact her to arrange a timetable and get to grips with the language!
¡Hasta pronto!
