WATCH: 2-metre-long boa constrictor found on Malaga golf course
The enormous reptile is thought to have been abandoned by its owner

A boa constrictor measuring more than two metres in length surprised a group of cyclists riding along the Cortijo Campanillas road in Málaga this Tuesday February 20.
The snake, which measured 2.30 metres in length, was not aggressive at any time, but the cyclists were surprised to find the animal in this area near the Real Guadalhorce Golf Club and alerted the Municipal Police.

When the officers arrived they found the boa barely moving. Even so, they called for help from a man who runs a pest control company and together they were finally able to capture the animal.
From there, it was taken in a cardboard box to police headquarters and then to the Málaga Municipal Animal Protection Centre.

The boa constrictor is a female which could even grow to exceed its current length of 2.30 metres. Although it is not known how the animal got there, the main hypothesis police have at the moment is that it was abandoned by its owner.
