Murcia weather warnings, Tuesday June 11
After damaging storms left flooding and road closures in their wake this Monday, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has upgraded and extended its storm warnings for Tuesday June 11 and Wednesday 12.
Now, the whole of the Region of Murcia is on alert for rain, thunderstorms and the possibility of hail. Between 15mm and 25mm of accumulated rainfall per hours is expected for the rest of Tuesday.
While most places are on yellow alert, the Guadalentín Valley around Lorca, Águilas and Mazarrón is on orange alert, mainly due to strong lightning forecast in the area.
For Wednesday June 12, not only will every part of Murcia once again be on alert for rain and hail between 9am and 12 midnight, but all the neighbouring parts of Almería, Albacete, Alicante and Granada will be on yellow alert too.
