Weekly street market in Caravaca de la Cruz
Monday is market day in Caravaca de la Cruz
The weekly open air street market in Caravaca de la Cruz offers a wide range of fruit and veg, household items and clothing, spread across several streets as this is one of the largest markets in the north-west of the region.
There are two distinct zones: one is the fruit and beg market in the streets around Plaza Juan Pablo II, while the "general market" occupies Calles Corredera, Poeta Ibañez, Cuesta de las Herrerias, Rafael Tejeo, and Cuesta de la Plaza.
The fruit and beg area opens at 8.00 while the general market begins at 10.00, with both lasting until 14.00.
Note: as at markets the world over it is advisable to be aware of the risk of being pickpocketed. Please take care with handbags, purses, wallets and loose cash, and avoid taking important documents such as passports or ID to street markets.
