Weekly summer markets in Isla Plana and La Azohía

Weekly summer markets in Isla Plana and La Azohía

Fresh foodstuffs on Thursday and Friday mornings during July, August and September

The two small villages of Isla Plana and La Azohía are very quiet for most of the year, but between 1st July and 15th September the population swells enormously and two small weekly markets are held in the eastern end of the Bay of Mazarrón.

Around 20 stalls are set up on Thursdays in La Azohía, and on Friday mornings the venue shifts to the car park alongside the main beach of Isla Plana. Both events are small, and the products on offer do not extend far beyond fruit and veg, but they are very popular both among locals and the thousands of summer visitors to this part of the Costa Cálida.

During the rest of the year the nearest market is the large Sunday morning event in nearby Puerto de Mazarrón.
